QR Bridge privacy policy

Effective October 2026. Covers the QR Bridge app for iPhone and this sender page.

The iPhone app

QR Bridge collects no data. It has no network code: no analytics, no advertising, no accounts, no third-party code. The app never sends anything you scan anywhere.

The camera is used only to read QR codes. You can turn camera access off at any time in iOS Settings.

Scanned text stays in the app until you copy, save or export it. Saved transfers are plain .txt files in On My iPhone > QR Bridge in the Files app; delete them there or in the Library at any time. Like any file in Files, they are part of your device backup when backups are on.

This sender page

The sender is one static file. Text you paste is split and drawn as QR codes in your browser and is never sent anywhere. The page's Content-Security-Policy forbids it from making any network request, so nothing you type can leave it even by mistake.

It remembers two display choices, QR size and error correction, in your browser's local storage. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.

The page is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log the request that loads the page, as described in GitHub's privacy statement. To avoid even that, save the page and open it from disk; it works offline.
